Marie just might get the popular vote...She and her family have a lot of fans. She wont deserve it, but she might get it. |
Well said. ITA.
I wanted to quote you and Jengalives as you both mirror my thoughts.
I surely don't think Marie is even close to as good a dancer as Helio or Mel. But I think those two will be fighting for a spot in the finals along with Marie.
Marie didn't even have to dance tonight (and she didn't very much, IMO) to be in the finals. She will be in on popular vote alone. I understand that is a part of the show's format but I always pull for the best dancers. That is who I want to see and who I want to see win. IMO, it should be more of a Dancing contest than a Popularity contest.
I enjoy Marie's personality and showmanship but she is not even close to the best dancer. Two or three others left before her that had her beat in that department, IMO. _________________ I JUST TRY AND SEE THE BEST IN PEOPLE...Janelle Pierzina, August 2006 |

ITA with all of you!!
Oh gosh.............don't even get me started!! This is my favorite show and I don't think I've ever seen a worse finale show. No one was outstanding - all of the dances from last week were far better. I've already stated my opinion of Marie's dancing (or non-dancing) many times so I won't go on and on, but all I could think about was how Derek and Jennie could have blown all of them out of the water on a night of such lackluster performances. Such a shame that they did not make it. Oh well, Go Jelly-O!!!!! |

Well, I think I agree with everyone's assessment. I kept thinking as I was watching if one of the teams has a great dance (like they all have had previously), they will take it because it was all pretty lackluster...and strange. I thought Mel's freedance looked like it was in slow motion, and the doll dance was beyond strange. WTH were they thinking? I was longing to see Emmitt or Apolo again. Pretty disappointing finale, but I really enjoyed the season as a whole. I have to give this one to Helio (and the lovely and talented Julianne, of course). Go, Jelly-O!! |

If I had to guess that is the way I would think it will go but you never know about Marie's fans. _________________ In three words I can sum up everything I've learned about life: it goes on...Robert Frost

Is there some controversy going on about Marie faking her fainting spell? I hope it's not true.
SD, I forgot to mention in the Moonlight thread that I love your sig line too. _________________ "It isn't that I don't like you, Susan, because after all, in moments of quiet, I'm strangely drawn toward you; but, well, there haven't been any quiet moments! Bringing Up Baby-Cary Grant |

I'm so happy with the win although I always feel badly for the runner up...
The final two were neck to neck and it was hard to figure out who was the best...personality went a long ways with me...
I want to say more but wont in case you shut your eyes at Lori's post...
Did I give it away. |

WOO HOO! JELLY-O did it!!
I would have been fine if Mel and Maks had won, but I am SO glad that Marie was eliminated first. America has restored my faith in their voting. (either that, or the producers did a good job fixing it so someone worthy won. )
And by the way, Snowlinen, I just have to add that seeing Will the Phallic Pinocchio on all of your posts is both oddly disturbing and highly amusing at the same time. _________________ "I love Kaysar. He's the Iraqi Brad Pitt." --Will Kirby |
