Sweet Dan Fogelberg. His music got me through some tough times and I am very sad at his passing.

If some one has a youtube of "Face the Fire" I would appreciate it very much.

Frances, I'm so glad Snowlinen found your song. I had heard he was sick but didn't know any of the details. So sad. Here's my favorite:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=daZhgvIu3UM "To the Morning" ....this old song closed out many parties as the sun was coming up when I was in college, and many times, it made me weep.

Snow, thank you so much for thinking of me. I don't know much about computers but my anti-virus popped up with a message stating there was a "Trojan" in this esnip. I'm not sure what else to do. I followed the instructions from my anti-virus and I hope I fixed the problem. I really am quite ignorant about these things. Embarassed

Lizbeth, what a beautifully wistful haunting song! I've never heard it before and I'm glad you chose to post it. I love Dan's voice and the song was simple, dreamy and I feel better for having heard it. Another awesome coincidence was the Castle in the youtube. As a small child living in Baumholder, Germany (Dad in the military) we visited that very same Castle and the memories of that day are permanently etched in my mind. Thank you for reminding me of a lovely day.

Maybe it's my computer and not the esnips? I'm so sorry. You went to all that trouble for me and I love you for it. You are such a sweetheart.

Don't be sorry Frances..I love doing things like this. I can get just about any song for free Shocked and it takes no time to upload it. I may just have to try another tribute. Very Happy

Love the castle. My father traveled for a living and at one time we were to move to Holland, but we didn't. You must have some wonderful memories Frances.

Oh no! I went to Holland while living in Germany. I wish you could have gone. Although, I don't remember much I do remember that everyone was so friendly. We all got wooden shoes and I wore mine till my feet could barely fit, I loved them so. My father's parents came over from Holland in the 1920's. So it was quite the sentimental occasion for my father and us kids.

Don't worry about getting me the song. To know that you tried means more to me then hearing the song itself. You are one of the kindest boardmates a person could know.

I have two sisters too! I tried that with my other sis, but she hit me and took them back. My older sister gave me her shoes after I wore the wood out. Laughing

Oooh, your sissy is violent, lol!!!!!! My sister's just didn't care about the shoes so I was lucky. In my teenage years I transferred my passion for wooden shoes to the Dr. Scholl's sandals. I wore the sandals every summer for eons!
