I have an image I'd like to use as an avatar, but don't know how to do it, but it's only a gif-type thing so it should work.
I have to go right now, unfortunately, but I'd really appreciate any tips/help.

here is some directions if people have trouble with the image size or the file size for your photo is too big.

if you have an image and you need to edit it, resize it smaller or crop it , you need to use a program like photoshop, but if you don't have that, you can use pixenate.com
It's an online photo editor. When you're done editing, save it to your computer.

then go to your profile and go to the box that says....upload avatar from your machine. If it doesn't work the file size may be larger than 6k.

If the file size is too large you can upload your photo to imageshack.us

go to imageshack.us
1. click the browse button and find the the upload file on your computer, click on it, then press open
2. then click the button that says....host it
3. then copy the url located in the 5th box down that says....Direct link to image
4. then paste the URL of the location in the box on your profile that says....Link to off-site Avatar:
5. press submit button on your profile.

Thanks again for the tips on doing an avatar. I went through my stuff looking for something small enough because everything I chose at first was WAAAY too big! Very Happy
