Jessica posted this blog on her myspace today:

BOOYAH Family, friends, and BB8 fans,

In my wildest dreams, I could never have anticipated the outpouring of love and support, compliments and good wishes you have shown for me and my family while I was on the Big Brother 8 show!

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR EVERYTHING!!!

I have received literally thousands of comments, emails, art work, and tributes that are simply amazing, and I love every single one of them. Thank you to those of you who came to the airport to welcome me home, and to the Liquid Limos for the party bus, and to the Patriot Guard for the beautiful escort you gave us the night of my return.

I would love to respond to each and every one of you individually, but due to the overwhelming amount of mail I have received, that is simply not realistic at this time. I hope that you will accept my genuine heartfelt thanks in this note, and I will now try to answer the questions that I received most often:

The best thing about the experience for me was: the challenge of the game itself. I am a very competitive person, and BIG BROTHER is a once in a lifetime opportunity that very few people will ever get, and I was honored to be selected for this season and loved every minute of it.

My least favorite thing about living in the house was: the boredom. As a houseguest, you are not allowed to bring any reading or writing material with you. In the house, there is no music, television, computers, or communication of any kind with the outside world. If you sign up for this show, you need to be prepared to make your own fun and keep yourself entertained as there is quite a bit of down time when there is no structured competitions and all you have is time fill, think & talk about the game/strategy, and think about everything you are missing back at home.

Given the opportunity, I would absolutely do it again!!

I learned that I need to listen to my own instincts more; and other people less. Obviously hindsight is 20/20, but I did make my decisions based on what I believed was true at the time.

My personal bond with Eric was both amazing and strong. He was my best friend and ally in the house. I had so much fun with Eric, and loved every minute I spent with him. Now that I am back in ..:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Kansas and he is in New York, it is hard to predict what the future holds for us. We do still talk on a very regular basis, and have agreed to just take one day at a time, and see what happens. (Thank you all for your good wishes for us!) You will be able to keep updated on us if you want to, through our fan sites.

Thank you to all of you who have signed the petition for Eric & me to be considered for the next edition of The Amazing Race. If you have not done so yet, and would like to support our effort, here is the link: http://www.petitiononline.com/JericTAR/petition.html

My best advice for those of you wanting to apply for the show is to completely fill out the application forms in great detail. Do not leave anything blank. The casting crew is looking for people who are able to entertain, and have stories to tell. So don't be shy!!! Good luck to all of you ~ I'll definitely be watching for you on the show next season!

Thanks again for all the prayers, support, kind words, tributes that you sent to me! It was so awesome to come home to see it all!

Love,

Jessica

I'm with ya Jenni! At first I really enjoyed Jess and Eric but then I thought one or the other was playing with the other's affections. Now, I really would like to see them get together. I love romance. Very Happy Very Happy

I don't have Real Player, so if you could give a report on what you hear it would be appreciated.
I love romance too!! Very Happy

What is going on with Realplayer? I keep trying to access the chat with Jessica and Eric and it just keeps loading with nothing happening. ARGH!

Frannie, I just read at Joker's that some people are having trouble too. All I got from the posts was -

Jess said they are dating Very Happy
Eric couldn't use the Veto as AP Shocked
Jess liked Jen Laughing
Eric said Jen one of the most memorable people to play the game
Eric supposedly is saying who he dislikes but he is not trashing people.

Thanks Jack'd!

I hate Realplayer! I got the last 20 minutes and even then it was choppy. Evil or Very Mad

I don't know what to make of that interview. I like Jessica and Eric being together but Eric is too cocky for me and his insistence that he kept Dick in the game being AP is false. If there had been no AP the whole game would have been different so his arrogance is a bit much for me. I also disagree with Jessica's opinion that Eric had the hardest job of all the HG. As she said very clearly, they all felt D/D were in an alliance and they were blood relatives...to me that is a bigger target. Proof being D/D were on the block often or at the very least targeted. Eric smoothed by several weeks before anyone targeted him.

Jessica was correct, she needs to rely on her self more than Eric. Her intuition was spot on but she let herself be swayed by Eric and hopefully she will get stronger as a woman before she becomes too involved with a partner.

At least now I know why I felt uncomfortable watching them together...it wasn't that Jess didn't like Eric or was playing him, they were trying to keep their romance a secret. Makes sense now. Very Happy

I knew there was something up with the veto and AP. Many times it looked as though Eric wasn't trying for the veto. I think the only time he really tried was when he was nominated.

You're welcome Frannie, glad you got in for the end of it. I'm going to wait for it to come up on You-Tube before I make any judgements. I had to leave to go and watch Real World, so I couldn't read anymore at Jokers.

The only opinion I have now is what I watched during the show and I have to say, like them or not, they were fun. I would say they had the most fun in the house out of everyone, they truly enjoyed eachother's company and made the most of their time there (of course, this is all going on while Jess is awake Laughing ).

I did not like AP concept at all and if I were any of the HG's (except Dani/Dick), I would be pissed. I felt it was a disadvantage to all of them including Eric.

As for Eric & Jess, I wish them the best but don't believe this relationship will last. Although they are fun and cute (cause they wear the same size Laughing ), they remind me of Beauty and the Geek Very Happy

I was never a huge Jessica fan, but I listened to a podcast today and my respect for Jessica elevated. She did a really good job with some hard questions for close to an hour. If you have iTunes, check out:

Reality TV Podcast #122 - Oct 11th, 2007 - Interview with Jessica BB8

RFF Radio

If you don't have an iPod, you can still get iTunes and listen to some really good reality podcasts (FREE!)

This interview was better than most.

After listening to that and seeing both of her video interviews, she is very smart and very well spoken. You can definitely see her broadcasting experience coming out in these interviews. It's surprising on the show they refused to show her as anything but an idiot.

Actually, it's not that surprising at all.

Well, to be fair, those of us who watched WAY too many hours of live feeds didn't see much evidence of it for CBS to show! I wish she had shown more of that side of her in the house.

I would agree with Cousin Jake on this.

A long time ago.... the Real World did one of their reunion shows... where all the casts from all the shows up to that point reunited. I am having a brain fart but... the black girl from the first season... uuugggg... cant remember the name.... sorry. Anyway... she gave the best line & I will never forget it..... essentially she said... Dont be mad at production if they showed you in a certain light.... they showed what you gave them & that is what they had to work with.

If a reality star spends more time showing only one side of their personality & does not give much of the other facets to them personality... then that is all production has to work with.

I know there are a lot of Jessica fans.. & that is great for Jess. But really... the first week she didnt speak... several weeks following she spent laying low & being silly & loud with Joe, Eric, Jameka, & even Daniele. She did have a few intelligent conversations 1 with Joe right before his eviction, a couple with Eric where basically he was producing his manipulation skills, & perhaps one or two with Jameka where they wanted Dick & Daniele out... but wanted someone else to do it, aside from them.

Jessica did begin to show other sides to her personality.... after she won the first HOH... but by that point her character on the show had been formed.... so they continued with it.... & she still didnt show much of how intelligent or well spoken she is.

My point is... it isnt all productions fault that we saw only one side of the HGs that we saw.... they need to realize that is what they gave them most of the time, so that is what they had to work with.

Anyway... My opinion... only.
