At the theater, I saw "Dan in Reali Life' - it is a fun romantic comedy good for all ages (well teen and above). _________________

I recommend "Gosford Park" for those willing to sit through half a movie not understanding who the heck all these characters are or what the heck their relationships are, only to be blindsided a bit later when you finally do get it and subsequently fall in love with at least one of the characters. It's crazy how Robert Altman could create such a confusing world, but in the end truly make us care for many of these characters. I love that movie. _________________ I'll stand my ground and I won't back down! |

Love Gosford Park. Well worth the trouble!
I see that "Miss Potter" is on tonight. the life of Beatrix Potter who wrote the classic childrens' books. (Renee Zellweger and Ewan MacGregor)
And another nice one, "The Jane Austen Book Club", with a great bunch of actresses.
(I may be an SF fan but I still love good chick flicks! ) _________________ "One kind word can warm three winter months." ~ Japanese proverb ~

I decided against the netflix thing, too much of a commitment. I found this site that has links to a bunch of movies, some take a while to load though.

I think i may go watch A Mighty Heart, i haven't been able to fall asleep lately, so i've been watching some of these movies. |

Nickel, did you watch A Mighty Heart yet? I'm curious what you thought of it. It's on my Christmas List. |

OK, thanks and that's exactly the way I feel about it. I'll have to be in a very good place when I sit down to view that one. Tore my heart out watching the news every night. |

Some of the fave ones we've seen:
--"Fracture"....just awesome!
--"American Gangster"....Denzel plays a mean drug lord
--"Mr. Brooks".....Kevin Costner is a mastermind serial killer. Also stars Dane Cook, but he's not doing a comedic role and he does a great job
--"Perfect Stranger"....Halle Berry and Bruce Willis...great thriller with a surprise ending'
--"Superbad"....Hilarious!
--"Transformers" (yes, we saw this, LOL)...Loved it!
--"Civic Duty"...Peter Strause stars...great conspiracy theory movie
--"Breach"...the true story of the worst case of treason in US history
There are others (we love movies), but I can't think of them now
There is one movie that if you ever get the chance to rent, I'd recommend it. It stars Tim Robbins and Jeff Bridges and it's called Arlington Road. It's so good!
Oh, and I thoroughly enjoyed "A Mighty Heart". Angelina Jolie does a fine job as Daniel Pearl's wife as she's searching for her missing husband. Very good movie. _________________

Enchanted with Patrick Dempsey is good.
I can't wait to see National Treasure: Book of Secrets. |
