Ok, so what are some songs you just love, the ones that really stick with you, if you had to pick just a few, whether it be because of the lyrics or the sound, whatever....

A couple of my favorites...

What it's Like by Everlast Such a good song. Love it for its lyrics.

Wish You Were Here by Pink Floyd Just loved it since the first time i remember hearing it.

I've Been Loving You Too Long by Otis ReddingLove me some Otis. Wink This one is my favorite of his.

Anyway by Martina McBride My very favorite singer, she just has a beautiful voice. The song is beautiful as well.

A news release:

A slew of today’s most popular singers have lent their interpretations of Ella Fitzgerald’s songs to an upcoming compilation, We All Love Ella: Celebrating the First Lady of Song. Billboard reports the album will be released June 5.

The lineup includes k.d. lang singing “Angel Eyes,” Queen Latifah’s version of "The Lady Is a Tramp,” “Lullaby of Birdland” by Chaka Khan, and “Miss Otis Regrets” by Linda Ronstadt.

The album will come 10 days before what would have been Fitzgerald’s 90th birthday.

Jane, do you have Coldplay's latest CD, X&Y? I got at Christmas and just love it. It is one of those CDs where you just like all of the songs. Not a bad one in the bunch.

NancyB, that's interesting about Ella. She had such a pretty voice, i hope the covers do her justice.

Yep, i've got that one too. Honestly, i didn't like it as much as the first 2 albums. A Rush of Blood to the Head is my fav. X&Y was a good album overall, but none of the songs stood out to me. If i had to pick a fav from it, i would pick "What If" or "Talk".

I saw Coldplay in concert when A Rush of Blood to the Head came out. Front row. Right in front of Guy, the bassist. I was in HEAVEN!!! Very Happy

I only have a Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y. I just think they put out really good albums. I hate buying a CD where you only really like a few of the songs. What If is my favorite too, but i have liked all of the singles that have come off of that CD as well.
