I thought this was a young girl fantasy type movie, from the ads and trailers, and that my grand-daughter would like it, but beware! I watched it on my own, just in case, on our pay movie channel and it's NOT for kids at all! It's full of gross cruelty and violence, set in the Spanish civil war period, and is downright scary for kids. Very sad and depressing as well as graphic. Very well made though, just not a fun kid movie. I was hoping to catch the movie when it came out on cable but not if it's about children and cruelty. I love children's movies and I was also thinking it was a young girl fantasy type flick. That’s a movie I probably would have let my nine year old watch based on the movie preview. She love love loves going to\watching movies, but there’s so few we can go to. Question: Why do the small drinks in theaters now come in 55 gallon drums? You need a hand truck just to get them to your seats….
