I don't get it. We criticise Will's tactics, and have some discussion about a 'religion', and somehow, we're belittling Erin's father?
I guess there are folks who either haven't the gumption to see the difference, or would rather twist the truth to try to make the rest of the BB world think the worst of us.
I wonder if they have the knowledge to understand what pot, kettle, black refers to?
The evidence would say otherwise. _________________ "One kind word can warm three winter months." ~ Japanese proverb ~

| Moodswinger wrote: | | Nancy, thanks for bring the article about JB to the forum. If I understand this correctly, Will acknowledged that Chris Chandeler was behind the campaign to get JP in the HOF and the chatters at Will's understood that they were participating in something that was well underway? Lips? Angtown? My impression of the recap was that Erin said something about "Will's cute idea". Two completely different scenarios. |
That's EXACTLY what Erin said because that's EXACTLY what happened. Neither Will nor Erin gave credit to Chris Chandler or anyone else for already having this "project" underway. In fact, after that initial chat, Will's own subsequent posts on his forum would suggest that he is trying to make it seem that, should JB get into the HOF, it would be at his urging and under his leadership through his chat room ("There have been some pushes in the past for him to be enshrined in the Hall of Fame but for one reason or another it just hasn't happened ...yet!"...."We are greatly looking forward to seeing how we should move forward!"). By the way, I did correct Will's spelling in that first quote. I didn't want to carry his quote over here, misspelling and all. That might make him look bad, seeing as how one of his favorite things to do is to correct the spelling and grammar of others. And, the "we" he was referring to in the second quote was himself and Erin.
Anyway, suggesting that any pushes for JB to get into the NFL HOF were "in the past" would also suggest that he is not giving Chris Chandler any credit for what Chandler appears to be doing right now. _________________

All right so we have John Brodie's son-in-law and another daughter's BF trying to get him into the HOF. Do we have stats on how good a player the man was compared to others who have gotten in?
If his performance on the field warrants inclusion, why has he been overlooked? If it doesn't warrant inclusion, why should the man receive special treatment? _________________

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if John Brodie is inducted into the Sports Hall of Fame, it will be done in conjunction with other sports figures being inducted at the same time and it will be done as part of a big ceremony at some large venue. I'm sure it won't be done on a reality show that his daughter's boyfriend is occasionally featured on. Just my opinion; not saying I'm right. _________________ What we have once enjoyed,

Seems like she would have to make appearances on the show for her father to be on there. Maybe someone wasn't being totally truthful in the last Will chat. _________________

Gasp! Are you implying that Will Kirby might have told a lie? _________________ "If you're not on somebody's shit list, you're not doing anything worthwhile." |
